Let me share the story of how this business began:

I came to the United Kingdom in 2006 with a dream of building a bright future for myself and my family. Over the years, I worked in various departments and service sectors, primarily in customer service and finance. In 2008, I got married, and my wife joined me on this journey in the UK. Being from India, she was accustomed to using traditional Indian spices regularly, and she insisted on premium quality, authentic spices and seasonings.

When she first arrived, she brought a large stock of spices from India. However, as time passed, we needed to replenish our supply, so we searched for similar quality spices in the local UK market. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find anything that met our standards.

This challenge gave me an idea—why not bring spices directly from India? I did just that, and my wife was overjoyed. As they say, “Happy wife, happy life!” From that day on, we started bringing spices from our hometown, Surat, known as the city of the best flavors in India.

One day, some family friends visited us for dinner, and they loved the taste of the dishes we served. They asked my wife for the recipe and the spices she used, and she mentioned that we brought them from India. Our friends then requested that we bring some for them the next time as well. That’s how it all started.

And this is how Shakti Foods was born.

Word spread quickly that we were providing the best quality spices, and soon, everyone wanted them. That’s when I realized—why not turn this into a profession?
